I don't have a lot of time, but I still want to participate. How flexible is the program?

Time constraints aren't a problem. Once you enroll, just submit your availability and we'll provide a customized calendar complete with resources and and involvement opportunities to choose from. Essentially, you design your own schedule.

What does the program entail?

Career guidance, mentorship, community engagement with the City of Los Angeles, networking training and events, and a completion ceremony.

What's the difference between a pilot program and an actual program?

The pilot program begins in Spring at an accelerated pace. We also want to gauge what works or doesn't work for YOU, the student. Through the process, we'll ask for you to participate in a few surveys so that we can further assess your needs, wants, as well as the effectiveness of the program. We're doing this in hopes to create a successful, sustainable program that will better prepare students for life after college.

I'm nervous and shy, but I want to be a part of the program. What should I do?

No worries! This program is meant to prepare you for what's in store after college. The great news is that you'll get to learn, grow, and strengthen your skills with your Campus Community. If there is anyone that understands how you feel, it's your peers. For increased comfortability, the program utilizes the more familiar campus setting and support centers, while offering off-campus engagement and career preparation opportunities.

I am a faculty member and would love to get involved with mentorship and/or the program in general. Is this a possibility for me?

Yes, yes, and yes! We would love to get you involved! We truly need compassionate, genuine, and motivating mentors for this program. Please sign up by clicking here or by emailing .

I am a faculty member who wants to participate in the mentorship element, but I am extremely busy. Is there a role for me to play?

The beauty of the program is that it's conducive to a busy schedule. One major part of the program's mentorship component is a once a month check-in with your mentor. The check-in will be a coffee, tea, and bagels event where A.S.I. will host an hour of engaging with your mentor. We'll do this once a month, and help facilitate the process.
