The Veterans Affairs Commissioner acts as the liaison between A.S.I. and the Veterans Resource Center (VRC); under the direction of the A.S.I. Vice President for Administration, works with the A.S.I. Director of Government Affairs and Leadership Programs to create a strategic plan for building student veteran affairs awareness; promotes A.S.I. events, and recruits student veterans to get involved in A.S.I.; assists in planning, implementing, directing, and attending A.S.I. funded veteran-focused events; has monthly communication with the VRC Director; acts as direct contact with the Office of Enrollment Services and VRC on all program co-sponsorship requests; and acts as a facilitator for programming within A.S.I.; invests at least ten (10) hours per week in A.S.I. activities; and attends all mandatory Cabinet of Commissioners meetings (see A.S.I.
