The A.S.I. Board of Directors (B.O.D.) approved amendments to the A.S.I. Bylaws on Thursday, July 17, 2014 by a 2/3 majority of the B.O.D.

A.S.I. policy requires student body notification of all Bylaws amendments and revisions within 15 business days.

Action(s) Taken:

The B.O.D. approved the immediate transition of the Legislative Affairs Representative at Large position to an Executive Officer position titled Vice President for External Affairs and Advancement (VPEAA). It was felt the importance and scope of legislative advocacy needed to be expanded and elevated to an officer position. This transition will result in a slight reorganization and have minimal financial impact on the organization.

You can review the approved amendments by navigating to: A.S.I. Approved Bylaws Amendments.

Per our policy, amendments and revisions approved by the Board of Directors may be rescinded by the regular membership of this corporation at the following general or special election. This process is as follows and can be found in Article XII, Section 5, Clause 2:

An amendment or revision shall be rescinded by a majority of the votes cast by the regular membership.
