What Does the Elections and Orientation Commissioner do?:
The Elections and Orientation Commissioner is responsible for executing the elections as stated in the Elections Committee Code of Procedure; notifies general students and student organizations of all A.S.I. events and procedures; works directly with the Director of the Center for Student Involvement (C.S.I.) with the support of the A.S.I.'s Programs Coordinator to create a strategic marketing plan for promoting A.S.I. Elections and recruiting students to run for Student Government positions; assists the Housing Commissioner in publicizing election materials in student housing and around campus; appoints four (4) commission members in accordance with the Elections Committee Codes of Procedure; serves on the Bylaws and Codes of Procedure Subcommittee as a voting member; supports, participates, and contributes to all other programs and functions under the VPA and C.O.C.; is responsible for the coordination and planning of A.S.I. activities and/or programs; invests at least ten (10) hours per week in A.S.I. activities; and attends all mandatory Cabinet of Commissioner meetings (see A.S.I.
