About This Election
On Thursday, May 12, 2011 William Tsai, Public Relations and Elections Commissioner announce the voting procedures and results of the 2011-2012 A.S.I. General Elections were valid. Voting for Elections took place over three days: Monday, May 9 through Wednesday, May 11. During voting, 685 valid ballots were cast electronically via the Golden Eagle Territory (GET) system. The election was closed at 7:00pm on Wednesday night. General Election Ballots result reporting took place on Thursday morning. All results are valid, pending any new grievances.
Amendments
The A.S.I. Board of Directors approved five A.S.I. Bylaws amendments recommended by the A.S.I. Bylaws & Codes of Procedure Sub-Committee to be placed on the ballot for Cal State L.A. student body consideration in the 2011 General Election. The student body had the opportunity to vote on each amendment which required a two-thirds (2/3) majority of the votes cast by the regular members.
Amendment One
- 540 "Yes" votes;
- 21 "No" votes; and
- 124 voters abstained.
The amendment has been approved by the voters.
Amendment Two
- 535 "Yes" votes;
- 26 "No" votes; and
- 124 voters abstained.
- The amendment has been approved by the voters.
Amendment Three
- 528 "Yes" votes;
- 32 "No" votes; and
- 125 voters abstained.
- The amendment has been approved by the voters.
Amendment Four
- 499 "Yes" votes;
- 60 "No" votes; and
- 126 voters abstained.
- The amendment has been approved by the voters.
Amendment Five
- 589 "Yes" votes;
- 26 "No" votes; and
- 70 voters abstained.
- The amendment has been approved by the voters.
