ELECTIONS COMMISSIONER REPORT FILED BEFORE THE A.S.I. BOARD OF DIRECTORS ON THURSDAY, MAY 16, 2013 AT 3:30 PM IN THE U-SU BOARD ROOM 303
Presented by Eddie Osorio the Elections and Orientation Commissioner: "I would like to announce the results of the 2013-2014 A.S.I. General Elections. Voting for Elections took place over three days: Monday, May 13 through Wednesday, May 15. 951 students voted electronically via the Golden Eagle Territory (GET) system. The election was closed at 7:00pm on Wednesday night. General Election Ballots result reporting took place at 7:02pm.
All results are valid. No concerns regarding the voting process were shared with the Elections Committee.
Four total grievances were submitted
- A hearing was held for one and the JRC found there were no grounds to support the charge.
- Two were dismissed
- One was withdrawn
Election Results
College of Arts and Letters Representatives:
There was one candidate for this position. 98 votes were cast for the Arts & Letters Representative position.
- Marina Bottini Vilhena received 91 votes.
- 7 people voted No Confidence.
Marina Bottini Vilhena is the new Representative for the College of Arts & Letters.
College of Business and Economics Representatives:
There were two candidates for this position. 174 votes were cast for the Business and Economics Representative positions.
- Bian "Bryan" Wu received 76 votes - 9 people voted No Confidence.
- Carina Kan received 80 votes - 9 people voted No Confidence.
Bian "Bryan" Wu and Carina Kan are the new Representatives for the College of Business and Economics.
Charter College of Education Representatives:
- There were no candidates for this position.
College of Engineering, Computer Science, and Technology Representatives:
There were two candidates for this position. 101 votes were cast for the Engineering, Computer Science, and Technology Representative positions.
- Ernesto Covarrubias received 51 votes - 6 people voted No Confidence.
- Measrainsey (Meas) Meng received 42 votes - 2 people voted No Confidence.
