To our Cal State LA community:

On July 6th, 2020, the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the United States Department of Homeland Security (USDHS) released a message that pertains to international student enrollment for the Fall 2020 semester.

As a result of the recent changes in policies that affect international students, we want to state that unequivocally stand with our international students at Cal State LA and other campuses in the CSU System.

We stand in solidarity with our students and we are completely aware that this situation has placed further stress in addition to other issues that affect how we succeed in our educational goals.

We, the Executive Team of Associated Students, Incorporated, are well aware of the impact and the contributions that international students bring to our communities and our school.

We ensure you that we will continue to advocate for our international students. Once we are aware of certain information that pertains to this situation, we will share the information. We also encourage non-international students to reach out to their friends, classmates, or colleagues who are affected by this issue.

To our students, please know that we share your concerns because you are a very integral part of what makes us Golden Eagles. Regardless of your immigration status, know that you are valued immensely, and you are one of us.

Once a Golden Eagle, always a Golden Eagle.

Thank you,

ASI Executive Committee
