IV. Discussion
- Lt Governor Town Hall: The committee will discuss how to represent students in higher education at the Town Hall meeting on Wednesday, October 17 (https://www.eventbrite.com/e/lt-governor-townhallon-higher-education-with-eleni-kounalakis-tickets-49157841427)
- CSSA CIVIC Engagement Competition: The committee will discuss how to promote civic engagement and gain points.
- Bill updates: The committee will provide updates on their assigned bills.

About Committee
This committee reviews, researches, and makes recommendations on legislation at the local and State level, through CSSA. Additionally, this body creates an annual advocacy agenda and recommends action to the BOD.
The Legislative Affairs and Advocacy Committee membership consists of the following:
- ASI Vice President of External Affairs (Chair)
- ASI President
- Civic Engagement Officer
- Diversity and Inclusion Officer
- Vice President for University Affairs
- Two ASI Board of Directors members
- Three students at-large from the student body
- ASI Executive Director or designee (non-voting)
