Position on CSSA Bills: The committee will discuss and take action on supporting the bills California State Students Association introduced at their January Plenary Meeting.

- College Rapid Housing Bill
- Campaigns for the California Higher Education Student Summit (CHESS): The committee will take action on the two advocacy efforts shared by the CSSA Southern Civic Engagement Officer and discuss supporting one or both campaigns.

- Vision for the Semester: The committee will hone their vision for the semester and discuss methods to expand efforts throughout Cal State LA.

About Committee
This committee reviews, researches, and makes recommendations on legislation at the local and State level, through CSSA. Additionally, this body creates an annual advocacy agenda and recommends action to the BOD.
The Legislative Affairs and Advocacy Committee membership consists of the following:
- ASI Vice President of External Affairs (Chair)
- ASI President
- Civic Engagement Officer
- Diversity and Inclusion Officer
- Vice President for University Affairs
- Two ASI Board of Directors members
- Three students at-large from the student body
- ASI Executive Director or designee (non-voting)
