This time is allotted for members of the public to make announcements and/ or address the Committee

III. Action Items

a. Appointment for Open Positions: The body will appoint candidates to the Legislative Affairs and Advocacy Committee.

IV. New Business

a. Welcome our Diversity and Inclusion Officer: Matiana Parra
b. Vision for the Semester: The committee will share their vision and mission for the committee and discuss ideas that will be implemented when planning events.
c. NVRD: The committee will discuss about the National Voters Registration Day outcome and what we could do better in the upcoming events.
d. Civic Engagement Events: The committee will propose ideas in regard to events that we would like to have in the upcoming weeks.
e. Civic Engagement Opportunity: CSU Student Mental Health Committee: The committee will discuss about the CSU Student Mental Health Advisory Committee in regards to providing feedback about mental health priorities.
f. CSSA Bill Update: The Committee will review the bills the California State Student Association (CSSA) introduced at their September Plenary and discuss what position they might take on these bills.
