II. Public Comment – This time is allotted for the public to address the committee regarding items not included on the meeting agenda.
III. Discussion Items
A. Meeting with the Meeting with the Campus Sustainability Manager: The committee will meet with Brad Haydel, the Campus Sustainability Manager, to discuss what projects he’s working on and we can work with him.
B. Meeting with Nalleli Cobo: The committee will meet with environmental activist and potential guest speaker, Nalleli Cobo, to discuss plans for an event.
C. Edible Garden Club: Garden intern and Edible Garden Club connection, Meghan Garvey, will meet with the committee to discuss how the committee can better support the club this semester.
D. Committee Assignments: The committee members will move forward with specific committee assignments. Specific roles will be assigned voluntarily.
E. Creative Commute & Alternative Commutes: Committee chair will update the committee on the status of the two programs the committee had discussed prior.
F. Programs: The committee will decide on at least two programs to host outside of the Creative Commute & Alternative Commutes programs.
G. Tabling: The committee will discuss tabling on campus to promote the committee.

About Committee
The Environmental Policy Committee formulates and encourages the adoption of policies that will make ASI's internal practices more environmentally sustainable. In addition the committee also seeks:
- to collaborate with Cal State LA administrators to formulate and encourage the adoption of policies that will make Cal State LA a more environmentally sustainable campus;
- to educate the on-campus community on the topic of environmental sustainability and environmental justice; and
- to formulate and encourage the adoption of policies that will make the California State University system more environmentally sustainable working primarily through the California State Student Association.
What is the composition of the ASI Environmental Policy Committee?
- The Environmental Policy Committee is composed of 12 voting members and 2 non-voting members. You may use this application to apply for the following position(s):
- Eight (8) student members of the student body appointed with a simple majority consent of the BOD.
