The Educational Policy Committee (Committee Minutes) recommends policy to the Academic Senate on all instructional matters and establishes processes for continuous evaluation and review of instructional programs. Policy created includes but not limited to subjects of
a. review and approval of new major programs, options, minor/credential programs and certificates and resolution of unresolved challenges
b. critical thinking/written and oral communication/quantitative reasoning/information competency
c. general education
d. undergraduate study
e. graduate study
f. teacher education
g. continuous study of the improvement of instruction
h. technologically mediated and other non-traditional instruction
A.S.I. Committee Goals and Expectations
- Provide a student based perspective and represent the interests of students regarding the programs being proposed
- Gain input from students and faculty on current methods of instruction through ongoing reviews
