Dear Lara - Film Screening
Dear Cal State LA Community, join us for a screening of Dear Lara, a powerful documentary about acclaimed violinist Lara St. John, as she reflects on her time as a young student at the prestigious Curtis Institute of Music, where her promising journey was marked by sexual abuse by an older instructor and the difficult path that followed as she sought accountability and healing. The evening will begin with the film’s premiere, followed by a live Q&A with Lara St. John, and conclude with an encore screening—viewer discretion is advised due to sensitive subject matter.
