2009 - 2010 | Spring General Election Results

Voting for Elections took place over three days: Monday, May 11 through Wednesday, May 13. During voting, 1597 valid ballots were cast. General Election Ballot result reporting took place on Thursday, May 14, 2009. Amy Feder, the representative from Student Voice, facilitated the official ballot count. All results are valid, pending any new grievances.

ASI Bylaws

The ASI Bylaws serve as the core governing document of Associated Students, Inc. Some of the critical areas addressed are our legal name, our primary purpose and the limitations of our purview, the composition of our governing board, the definition of our membership, our election process and conflict resolution.

About Committee

Each standing committee has elected faculty members, student members, and an administrator serving ex officio as executive secretary. The subcommittees are similarly staffed.

About Committee

The Personnel Committee shall act on behalf of the BOD in all matters concerning employees of the corporation. Such actions shall be in accordance with Title V of the Administrative Code of the State of California, Policies and Directives of the Board of Trustees of the California State University and Colleges, Policies of the University, the Articles of Incorporation, and the ASI Bylaws.

This committee reviews, researches, and makes recommendations on legislation at the local and State level, through CSSA. Additionally, this body creates an annual advocacy agenda and recommends action to the BOD.

About Committee

The Finance Committees acts on behalf of the BOD in all matters pertaining to income appropriation, and the safeguarding of Associated Students, Inc. funds. The Finance Committee makes recommendations to the Board of Directors regarding allocation of funds for the corporation and the programs and services for the student body. The committee also assists in the preparation of ASI’s annual budget. The Finance Committee also has the responsibility for recommending funding allocations to the Registered Student Organizations (RSO’s).

About Committee

The Executive Cabinet coordinates the information, programs, projects, policies, and issues to be considered by the Associated Students, Inc. Board of Directors. The Executive Cabinet shall also provide oversight for the standing committees of ASI and serves as pseudo-supervisors of the other ASI Board members. The Executive Cabinet shall also serve as a decision-making body in case the Board of Directors is unable to meet for an emergency matter.
