Biography

Hello! I’d like to introduce myself as Natalie Torres, Juarez-Zendejas, the new ASI Vice President of External Affairs! I will return this academic term as a second-year public health student with a pre-med intent. A fun fact about myself is that I commute to Cal State LA from Ventura County!

As the ASI-VPEX, my priority is to address basic-needs services on campus and the broader public community, specifically I want to provide information related to healthcare and wellness. The purpose is to establish partnerships with local civic organizations that can directly allocate resources to the university. I’m especially excited to work with CSSA, the California State Student Association, a student-led organization that advocates for the CSU voice through systemwide, state, and federal policies related to higher education advancement.

This involvement will include representation as a board member with the interest of CSULA students in mind. By the end my term, I strive to understand marginalized perspectives, initiate support programs, and empower proactive student leadership through an equitable approach.
