IV. Discussion Items:
A. Debrief on Meeting with Chancellor Castro- ASI President, Diana Chavez will debrief the council on her meeting with Chancellor Castro.
B. ASI Response to CAPS Resolution- The council will go over a response to a statement submitted by Vice President for Student Life Nancy Wada Mckee to the ASI CAPS Resolution.
C. Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Taskforce- Undergraduate Senator Jeovana Lopez will lead a conversation on the EDI taskforce and the council will provide suggestions on top priorities for the task force.
D. ASI Faculty Training Resolution- The ASI VPAG will discuss the idea to create a resolution on trainings that faculty should complete.
E. Internal Communication: The Council will brainstorm strategies in effort to better the communication between ASI units and increase familiarity with the functions of each area.

About Committee
The purpose and function of the Shared Governance Council (SGC) of the Associated Students, Inc. (ASI) is to:
- Review, research, and make recommendations on, but not limited to, Academic and Administrative policy affecting students.
- Maintain active communication to the student body regarding Academic and Administrative Affairs by creating resolutions, white papers, utilizing media outlets, etc.
- Work with all appropriate areas in order to ensure that genuine Shared Governance is being upheld between students, faculty, and administration.
- Create annual assessments of student needs and concerns.
Shared Governance Council membership includes:
- Vice President for University Affairs (Chair)
- ASI Academic Senators (2 Undergraduates, 2 Graduates, 1 At-large)
- All student Representatives appointed to University and Academic Senate Committees and Subcommittees
- All ASI Board members that are appointed to serve on a University or Academic Senate Committee or Subcommittee
- Faculty Appointee
- AVP/Dean of Students or designee (non-voting)
- ASI Executive Director or designee (non-voting)
