i. The committee will review and take action policy edits recommended by the ASI President and Executive Director.

f. Legislative Affairs Proposal from VPEAA Montes

i. The committee will review and take action and a proposal submitted by Marcos Montes from the Legislative Affairs area to support an event on April 4th.

IV. DIscission Items

a. Proposed 2018/2019 Operating Budget - The committee will review the first draft of the proposed 2018/2019 operating budget and supporting detail.

 

b. 2018/2019 API Food Justice Service Learning Project proposal - The committee will review a proposal submitted by API for funding on for next year's budget.

 

c. ASI GIA Discussion regarding inflation. (amended)

 

d. Strategic Planning Initiatives: The committee will review a draft of the strategic initiatives and look for ways the possibly be implemented in the Finance Committee.

About Committee

The Finance Committees acts on behalf of the BOD in all matters pertaining to income appropriation, and the safeguarding of Associated Students, Inc. funds. The Finance Committee makes recommendations to the Board of Directors regarding allocation of funds for the corporation and the programs and services for the student body. The committee also assists in the preparation of ASI’s annual budget. The Finance Committee also has the responsibility for recommending funding allocations to the Registered Student Organizations (RSO’s).

The Finance Committee is composed of the following members:

  • ASI Vice President for Finance (Chair)
  • ASI President
  • ASI Vice President for Community Engagement
  • ASI Vice President for University Affairs
  • ASI Vice President for External Affairs
  • ASI Chief of Staff
  • Two (2) members of the Board of Directors
  • Two students at-large from the student body
  • ASI Executive Director (non-voting)
  • ASI Associate Executive Director (non-voting)
  • University President or designee (non-voting)
  • University Vice President for Administration and CFO or designee (non-voting)
